Operators pay track fees

Green Cargo welcomes the tiered track fees proposed by the Swedish National Rail Administration. For example, it is reasonable for freight transports that run in the evening and at night and that have lower priority and longer transport times to pay lower track fees. The first step in this process is the implementation of tiered track fees for crowded sections of the track as a tool to steer traffic based on market needs. Green Cargo also takes the position that it must be possible to differentiate between service levels. Requirements on higher quality and faster lead times should subsequently be reflected in the track fees. Today, these variables are considered free utilities for the rail companies that receive a higher service level from the Swedish National Rail Administration. Green Cargo, the Association of Swedish Train Operators and the Swedish Shippers' Council have rejected the Swedish National Rail Administration's planned 100% increase in track fees between 2010 and 2013. This will make rail transport more expensive and weaken its competitiveness in relation to road transport.Inrikes och utrikes Specialtransport Entreprenad Intermodal Biofuel Bioflex Bil Systemtransport
