Our offer – environmental performance
Ninety-two percent of our transports are sent by electrically-powered trains and we only purchase renewable energy. We are gradually introducing an energy-saving method of driving for our locomotive drivers and we are investing in new engines for our large diesel locomotives that will lower our carbon dioxide emissions by approximately 20 percent according to the supplier's calculations.
Our truck drivers have been educated in environmentally friendly driving methods and save diesel by driving a maximum of 80 km/hr. In the past few years, our warehouses have decreased their electricity consumption through a number of implemented measures and commitment from our employees.
By choosing Green Cargo as a service provider, commercial actors can reduce their impact on the environment. Green Cargo's entire transport portfolio has received the commendation Good Environmental Choice - Freight Transports by the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation.
