Egger's sustainable furniture
Furniture can be both luxurious and sustainable, at least if the material comes from Egger Holzwerkstoffe Brilon. This company has chosen rail freight combined with local road delivery to the final destination for its transports from Germany to the Västergötland region.
Every year, 520 rail wagons with chipboard and MDF board arrive in Skövde from the factory in Germany. Upon arrival, Green Cargo re-loads the shipment onto trucks and drives the deliveries to the furniture manufacturer in Västra Götaland. Both the furniture and the logistics solution are sustainable in the long run. Egger Holzwekrstoffe Brilon has used this solution for more than 20 years.
