The entire world meets in Hallsberg

case_hallsberg_small.jpgVolvo Logistics places large demands on geographic location, turnkey solutions and good-value-for-money. It chose the Hallsberg terminal as a partner for its component deliveries to all of Volvo's units in mid-Sweden. Now freight from the entire world, for example Japan, India, Germany and China, comes to the terminal in Hallsberg. The sea-bound freight arrives by ship to Gothenburg and is then transported by Green Cargo trains to Hallsberg. Freight forwarder Hangartner organises the transports from the Continent.

Volvo Logistics stores 4,000 components for its companies in the newly constructed Hallsberg terminal, utilising 8,500 square meters. Twenty-five trucks leave the terminal every day to make deliveries to suppliers and factories. Volvo Logistics also has a packing depot in the Hallsberg terminal and receives assistance with sorting and maintenance of pallets, pallet collars and lids. The packed goods are then delivered to Volvo Logistics's suppliers in Finland, the Baltics, Czech Republic, Poland and northern Sweden.
