Glossary
Accident costs, rail
Every accident in the collision, impact, derailment and level crossing categories is assigned a standard amount that is compared per region with set goals. The standard cost is based on an average of direct costs, e.g. for restoration of tracks, vehicles and loads. Accidents in which Green Cargo or its employees could have influenced the incident and level-crossing accidents that occur outside the Swedish Rail Administration's infrastructure are the only ones listed as costs.
Average number of full-time equivalents (FTE)

Climate Comet of the Year
Green Cargo recognises a company that, based on its own conditions, significantly decreases the environmental impact of its transports. In 2008 the award was given to the wine importer Fondberg, which moved its wine transports from southern Europe over to rail, and in 2009 the award went to Coop, which with the start of the Coop trains moved its long haul road transports to rail between Helsingborg and Stockholm.

Green Cargo Climate Certificate
We offer to conduct an environmental review of the portion of a company's transports that are sent via Green Cargo. Companies that have transports with maximum emissions of 10 g of carbon dioxide per net tonne km receive Green Cargo's Climate Certificate, which is awarded once a year at a special ceremony. This limit requires that the majority of a company's transports be sent via electric trains and the rest by truck or diesel train.
Good Environmental Choice
Good Environmental Choice is the Swedish Society for Nature Conservation's environmental standard. Companies can apply and pay for a limited-term licence if they meet the criteria. Green Cargo is the only nationwide freight transport company that meets the criteria for Good Environmental Choice transports.

Our logistics maximises present value and future profitability by fulfilling orders as cost effectively as possible via good organisation and smart use of market channels.

Traffic safety index, rail and road traffic
An index built on a valuation of all accidents occurring during a specific period. Accidents are assigned a predetermined value depending on their severity. All accident values are entered in a formula for which the result is an index value on a scale of 0 to 100. An index of 100 indicates that no accidents occurred. The index value decreases with each accident and its severity.
Wagon load
Transports travelling by rail in a fixed network per a fixed timetable. Customers can transport one or more wagons by rail in a network by what is known as a wagon load. Trains are built by wagons from different companies.
Green Cargo's national transports are an approved Good Environmental Choice
